Metrolink App Reviews

Please, get with the Information Age!

Most people want to know if they can get from point A to B on any given day and how much its going to cost. No luck on this app. Just the ability to purchase tickets, but only after going through hell through vague information guides tucked away in hard to find places to see if the train folk are even cooperating with each other. Never mind that your Sunday trip to the John Wayne airport is like the Wild West, where many of the services are just not operating. Get your *~it together Metrolink and Amtrack!! So much opportunity wasted. Make it work!

Needs development

Pretty pointless other than just purchasing. 0 of 5 stars is not an option or thats what I would of gave it.

WAAAAAAAAAY OVERPRICED

$10 to travel one station over? Thats insane.

Annoyingly buggy at times

This app can be helpful 80% of the time, its especially helpful because I tend to get to the station kinda late no matter how early im up so I like that I can buy my tickets on the go. But Ive had a few issues with this app in the time Ive used it, one being that if youre not careful and accidentally click more than one when youre purchasing your ticket, itll purchase multiple of the same ticket for you. Its happened twice to me already, and Im sure the refund team or whoever are sick of hearing from me just as I am of submitting another refund request. Another thing that recently occurred was when I was trying to purchase some my ticket, it wasnt showing up at all in my ticket wallet so of course I assumed maybe I did something wrong. So I purchased it twice more with no tickets in sight. That is until I uninstalled and re installed the app, but now I had three tickets two of which I didnt want. Im not trying to whine just because the fun if it or anything, I just hope these issues can be fixed, or at least one of them can. Anyway, otherwise the app is really useful and great if youre terrible at being punctual as well.

Inaccessible

This is a very good idea, however, this app is completely in accessible for those of us who use voice over on our iPhones. So those of us who are visually impaired or totally blind and do not feel like using the ticket machines at the stations are unable to utilize this app for purchasing tickets on the trains. I hope that in the next release, this app will be able to be used by people who use voiceover.

Much better than the ticket machines

A good step in the right direction!

Way Easier Than The Alternatives

I downloaded this app after reading about it in the LAT just before leaving work on Wednesday. I thought it would be clunky but it actually worked great. Its easy to buy a ticket. They just scan your phone like when youve got your ticket on your phone at the airport. Way easier than keeping a paper ticket in my wallet.

Ive been waiting for this but...

Why isnt there a Union station option????

Well overdue and happy its here!

Ive been waiting for this for a while now. It is so much easier to keep track of a ticket when its in the palm of your hand all the time. Ive lost tickets a few times because theyve fallen out of my pocket etc. Besides that, I frequently take a train that meets the metro link but only has a five minute window between my arrival and departure or via Metrolink. That has prove problematic and trying to get a ticket and get on the train in time. This eliminates that and I am grateful. I have four suggestions for this app. One, make the weekend ticket available for purchase as it doesnt show up as an option. Two, integrate the Metrolink schedules into the app instead of having to go to the website. Three, allow users to pick a future date for ticket purchases. Four, allow a user to specify the departure time of the train they will be taking so that the validity of the ticket will match that of the persons intended travel times.

Trial in progress. Cant wait for full version

This is going to be convenient but cannot use yet without complete OC line to go all the way to LA Union Station plus compatibility with Metro trains & Amtrak. Also app needs service alerts. I will be looking forward to upgrades. Please hurry!!

Limited use for oc business travelers

I know a ton of folks who ride metrolink to union, and while this app would be super handy the fact theres no union station option makes it practically useless.

No Anaheim Artic Station?

Concept of this app is great but I ride from Tustin to Anaheim Artic and there is no option for Anaheim Artic.

NEAR USELESS

Its missing most stations on most lines, including Union Station from OC locations. Stupid! If you have a single route, and ride just one line, and doesnt include Union Station, youre golden.

First Edition

Reviewers complaining about the absence of Anaheim and Union Station should know that this app only works for the Inland Empire Orange County Line. So we have a lot to look forward to!

Union Station?

Please add Union!

LA-Union Station

Yeah, would be great if Union Station will be on the list soonest!

Useless

Attempted to purchase my first ticket and it does not have my destination listed. It only list a few stop which none are on my the line of travel I take daily. No union station no Montebello commerce no east Ontario no Pedly station, no downtown Pomona. The app is not complete.

No union station. Useless

This app is useless. Only a few stations are eligible origins/destinations. Good try, but this needs to be expanded to be of any use. Until then, Im deleting.

Need Union Station

Practically useless without Union Station as an option.

Can you idiot users read?

For all the people saying "it doesnt have Union Station" (or some other station). Can you read? Its a PILOT PROGRAM. The whole system should go up by the end of March. Duh!
