With the Metrolink App, you can securely purchase Metrolink One-Way, Round-Trip tickets, 7-Day, Monthly and Weekend Day Passes in seconds. Purchasing a ticket is easy: select your trip & ticket type, enter your payment card information, activate your ticket prior to boarding and your device is your ticket.

Never lose your ticket again! Once you purchase your ticket, it will always be in your ticket wallet. Need to replace your phone? No problem - you can easily transfer any purchased ticket to a new device.

Riders who use the Corporate Quick Card and riders who transfer to Metro Rail should continue to use paper tickets from Metrolink’s Ticket Vending Machines. Metrolink will be implementing a variety of enhancements to enable these users to use mobile ticketing in the future.

We are making the app better every day! Visit www.metrolinktrains.com/app for more information.

Pros and cons of Metrolink app for iPhone and iPad

Metrolink app good for

One complaint: three clicks to activate a monthly pass. Itd be much better if the app opened and, if you had a monthly pass in your wallet, asked you if you wished to activate your pass. I mean, why else would I be opening it? Built in schedule would be nice, as well as push notifications if your ticketed line was experiencing delays.
I love everything about this app as I can buy the tickets very quickly rather than waiting in line for it. However when I buy the ticket for the Metrolink train, the ticket doesnt work for the subway trains like the MetroRail (Purple line, Red line). Please allow the ticket to work for subways too!!

Some bad moments

There is no system map and timetable. Which is crucial. And it says I can only use on Inland Empire Line. Smh. Bad move. Metrolink. But there is time get it right.
While this is a step up from having to use the machines that are usually broken, the app can improve a lot: 1. Cant use the same ticket of the same price for a different location (Ontario vs Rancho C.) In the past, I could use my paper ticket for both 2. Cant use monthly pass for metro transfers 3. Cant purchase monthly pass using my corporate card
Makes no sense that you cannot buy a train ticket for anytime other than today. Whats the point
Credit Card info saved before, but it doesnt. After three times of re-entering my info, I stopped using it. Its easier to buy my ticket at the machine.
Blindly purchase tickets from a to b? No schedule How about an app smart enough to get from a to b with schedule, schedule reminders as well as giving bus info
I have attempted to login multiple times after resetting my password time and time again. The app keeps telling me that the username and password is incorrect. Tried logging directly into the website on the browser and I get access. What gives???
